One thing I haven't seen in this thread is mention of AC vs DC TIG. Machines like the Eastwood MP250I Welder mentioned above have AC output only! That means they are not able to TIG weld aluminum, only steel and stainless. To weld aluminum with this unit you need a spool gun and different...- Yeames
