    Land Planes for road maintenance

    I just made them straight across at 90*. I used a pair of box blade cutting edges over that 3/8 angle. I have them down 3/4" below the skids.

    Nice job on that LandPlane BearSkinner. I made one 10 years ago after just having a rear Blade for the 10 years before that. I love how the LandPlane works and only use the Rear Blade once in a while now. Mine is 5' wide and 4'-6" long. Weighs 650 lbs.

    Welding cable length question?

    I would rather have the short cable on the work clamp too. Then you have more reach with the rod holder w/o moving anything. Changing them around should not make any difference if you want to make the change. gg

    Your a head of me - I waited until I was 70. Learned stick on that very same TombStone. Only welded with O/A before that. Good luck and have fun gg

    Drill Presses

    I've got an old Craftsman by King-Seeley from back in the early 1950's . Got it from my FIL. I just put a speed reduction on it a couple weeks ago to get it down to 200 RPM.
