Hi Gang, I am a draftsman by trade and have a love for repurposing tired stuff to give it a new life. A bunch of years ago I found an old diesel tank along one of our fence lines. The first thing I found out was that I couldn't readily move it. The gears started churning immediately, regardless. The tank is made from a piece of 3/8" wall 20" pipe, 5' long. The ends and the baffle are 1/4" plate. I calculated the weight at about 465 pounds plus a couple of 2" pipe fittings welded to it. I've got enough raw material laying around that the only money I should have to spend would be for welding rod and saw blades. A dear friend of mine has a gas driven welder that he says I can use as long as he doesn't need it. I have been wanting to teach myself to weld for many years. Sounds like many pleasant hours ahead.
