Well, just had my order canceled as none of the items were in stock due to supply chain issues.
Had ordered some flat bar and sheets.

Anyone know a good cheap source for these?
HD/Lowes is still expensive and has low stock too.

Have you gone to a metal recycling yard. i used to build dirt track race cars from the metal I was able to buy at the yard. At the time I sold junk to them for 15 cents a pound.. They sold me parts for 30 cents. Have no idea of the cost now.

Right now, $1-2/pound should be about right for drop plate, though if you call around or swing by some of the welding shops in your area, you might find one giving it away, if they don't have the room to store it.

Thats the truth. .250 hot rolled flat sheet 4 x 8 foot 822.00. used to buy before COVID 250.00 I'm always on the prowl for scrap.
