I finished up the railings for our new house this winter. Up until now we had been working with temporary stair treads and railings. All told, it took about 7 months to finish the woodwork and the metal work for these stairs.

The railings themselves are 304SS, TIG welded and then brought in for Electropolishing which nicely cleans up the weld discoloration and passivates the surface so that nothing corrodes. Plus it makes it really shiny! ☀ The panels are done from a mix of solid round rod 3/16, 1/4, and 5/16" dia. I used a cheapo ring roller from Horror Fright to roll the bends into the rods. Frame is 1.5" 11 ga sq tube but the handrail is 1x2" 11 ga rect tube.
