Tractor 3pth hitch receiver

Was looking to pull a small trench for an extension cord and figured with a single spline and hitch might do the trick. This meant I needed a 3 point hitch receiver first. This would also allow me to move our trailers easily without even getting off the tractor. And make other attachments that fit the receiver if needed.

I built one, CATII for my 584IH.
It turned out to be a perfect fit for the Harbor Freight quick hitch,, which normally needs spacer bushings.

Anyways, when I painted a Gravely two wheel tractor, the hitch came in handy as a stand that easily bolted to the Gravely,,

The receiver hitch adapter mostly stays on the JD 650, but, it has been on most of my tractors, at one time or another.

Nice welding work! I'm a beginner stick welder, how do you close up the square stock ends so neatly? If you just want to pull trailers around, this cross drawbar for category 1 (with a stabilizer) is cheap, simple, has multiple uses.

Lenster the drawbar in your picture will rotate the ball down. It’s meant for a clevis style hitch.

The 3 pt can’t rotate and works much better.
